Born in June 2012, ATRC is not a constituted company. Indeed ATRC is the research department of Vector Health international a Joint Venture between AtoZ Textile Mills one of the leading Tanzanian industry and Sumitomo Chemical Company (SCC) a Japanese conglomerate.
As a private laboratory, its main goal is to serve the interest of these two parental companies.
